The Carriage Clock Haven

If you were to die and go to heaven and you were a clock lover then this blog would be your home page. We are here to showcase the beauty and essence of carriage clocks. Antiques are the most detailed and interesting to me but they are so expensive to produce that we are not seeing these styles today. That must be the reason why antiques are so valueable. They are rare, more beautiful and made of more fine metals. The modern carriage clock is also very bright and shiny and just as beautiful but a little simpler. They stay true to the tradion and always sport the supporting handle. I don’t want this site to be limited to only those types of clocks as I am a true clock collector. You can find similar beauty and creativity in mantel clocks and anniversary clocks as well.

It’s not enough to just write about clocks as that can be rather dreadfully boring. So this site will keep interesting. We all know that seeing is believing and the best way to look at clocks is to actually look at them. So most of the posts here will be video posts of peoples mantle clocks or skeleton clocks or what have you. And the thing about skeleton clocksthat is awesome is seeing the guts of a piece of machinery. Lots of these videos are of the clock movements. And what clock site would be complete without longcase grandfather clocks? They are sort of their own topic so there won’t be a lot of posts about them but I can’t resist.

So take some time and look around the carriage clock haven and get inspired. Don’t forget to post your own videos of your masterpieces as I always love seeing new and old clocks and where people keep them.
